Timothy
Trespas has been writing, performing,
recording, mixing and producing music under
the name 'CREATIVE
CHAOS inc...' for well over
20 years.
He
started his musical career as a teenager
after purchasing a $20 2nd-hand Sears guitar
from a schoolmate, and began recording his
songs back-and-forth between the speaker
and microphone of two monophonic cassette
recorders. Always seeking a higher-quality
solution, he went on over the years
to design, own, and operate a multi-track
recording and production studio.
Throughout
his career, Timothy has worked in several
world-class studios, including Chunk King in
New York City. He has worked as an assistant
engineer, Mixing & Recording
Engineer, and an Electronics Technician.
He has done live-sound for many bands
in many venues. He has worked on music,
sound effects and soundtracks for film
and video, as well as spots for radio
and Television.
His
client list includes artists such as Run
DMC, Danzig, LL
Cool J, Beastie
Boys, Sarah
Lee, The Real Roxanne, The
Wise-Guys (ILL and Tron), John Hall
(from King Missile), IBU (Ian Nichols,
Chello & Dougie
Needles), Nick Selby, Nicky
D, Muffler (Daryl & Duane
Simmons who produce LL Cool J and others),
Sweet Lizard Illtet, All
About Chad, The
Flesh Woundz, and D.J.LOOP-DADDY, among
many others, whom he has worked with/for
in varied capacities over the years.
He
is comfortable and competent working in many
musical styles, and has recorded and worked
with bands playing Jazz,
Rock, Country, Punk, Funk, Pop, Gospel, Avant-Garde,
Hip-Hop, Dance, Trance and Techno. He
was once a member of the short-lived live-music
sensation LIARS & THIEVES,
a small band that did local gigs in NYC
and Brooklyn.
He
went to The Institute of
Audio Research in NYC, but because
he is an intuitive autodidact, Timothy
is mostly self-taught.
Timothy
considers himself an accomplished singer/songwriter,
and has worked tirelessly to perfect
his craft.
Currently he has well
over 100 songs to his credit!
He
plays the guitar, Bass, keyboards, synthesizer
and sampler, percussion (drums, etc)
and sings, as well as making sounds
on violin, clarinet, and any other instrument
he can get his hands on (although it
may be considered nothing more than
noise to some!)
He
has experience as a sound designer and is
capable of working with all MIDI sequencers,
samplers, and analog and digital sound modules
to create here-to-fore unheard-of new sounds.
He specializes in ultra-low bass-drum
beats and funky polyrhythmic bass and
percussive sounds. He designs and programs
sample-loops and creates new sounds for use
in his music and soundtracks. He has been
seen lurking about the all areas of the city
and country-side at all hours of the day
and night with a recorder in an effort to
capture live ambient noises and sounds, and
strives to create that 'perfect' sound for
his (or your) next project.
As
an ASCAP member,
Timothy is now working to get his music heard
by the listening public, as well as actively
looking to get himself signed by an independent
or major label. (Feel free to contact
him!)
Timothy's
music has always been difficult to categorize,
and some of his closer friends have taken
to calling it "Tim-music",
although he prefers to call it "Creative
Chaos" - in a reference
to scientific Chaos-Theory,
and in reference to his natural
ability to 'create' something
listen-able from the chaos of
the universe.
Presently,
Timothy is continuing his work out of his
small home studio he shares his partner and
love Petra
Schiller in
Hells' Kitchen, NYC.
We
thank you for your interest in Timothy's
works, and hope that you will consider
purchasing some of his music in an effort to support
his musical habit.
Please
feel free to contact
him about anything you

is available for hire as a consultant, a

to pay union scale wages.
